Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. What We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email address, name, and an account identifier. This is used to sign you in and to scope your API keys and usage to your account.
API usage metadata: For each API request we record the request count, character count (for TTS) or audio duration (for STT), the voice or model used, the response status, and a timestamp. This metadata is used to enforce quotas, show you accurate dashboard usage, and bill the right amount on paid plans.
Site analytics: Basic page-view analytics for improving the site experience. No third-party advertising trackers.
2. What We Do Not Retain
The audio you submit to VoxCore STT, the audio VoxCore TTS produces, and the transcripts those calls return are not retained beyond the duration of the API call. They are not logged, not archived, and not used to train any model.
Cached TTS responses (a hash of voice + text) may be held in our cache for up to seven days to speed up repeat requests; you can disable this per-request. Nothing tying a cache entry back to a user’s identity is stored alongside it.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to: (a) authenticate your account and authorize API requests, (b) enforce rate limits and monthly quotas, (c) generate accurate usage and billing information, (d) send transactional email related to your account (sign-in, billing, security notices), and (e) respond to support inquiries. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. API usage metadata is retained for up to 24 months for billing and audit purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small set of providers, each governed by their own privacy policy: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments, when billing is enabled), Resend (transactional email), and our cloud hosting provider for the API and website. We do not pass your audio or transcripts to any of them.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@voxcore.dev.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to active accounts.
